Ennis has experienced great times of commerce and economic development throughout its history as well as times that were challenging to all who have lived here throughout the years. As we look at today and towards the future of this fair city we hope to inspire all who live, do business and raise their families here with the vision of bringing about change that will revitalize the city's golden years of vitality and good things for all. This is a tribute to those of the past whom built the strong foundations of this city and those today whose hard work and commitment will help to bring about strong and positive changes to the city's commerce and economic development.

The future of Ennis and all cities that inspire to preserve the important assets of the past: culture, history and traditions will find it a course difficult to pave as there will always be a balance that will have to be found between the necessity of future growth and the preservation of the past. We are not without presendence on this as many "Best Practices" have been achieved and well documented by our own and other cities. They have struggled along this same path to achieve the best for all within the community. We look forward toward the best for this city's past, present and future as it enters the twenty first century and beyond.
